Bling it on....

the wedding window shopping spree has officially BEGUN!!! woohooo... such a fun phase where everything blingy seems a probabilty and every designer garment seems like the perfect wedding outfit. Found a fun tailor and recently a embroidery guy so hoping to get some gud suits done in the near future.

Spent the day at a jewellry store in hyd trying to figure out what a nice set costs like and this gorgeous one i show u in the pic would average anywhere around 12-16 lakhs minimum!!!! =o Yes, the world of real bling is insane. and the sad part is you never know if its authentic cuz what i hear is that synthetic stones are big in the market so you will never know who fleeces you... messed up right?! well the search shall continue to delhi and jaipur , so am hoping some better luck shines through by april/may. Got my future mother in law coming into town next few days so supp to go shopping with her...lets see how that goes.

i feel a trickle of wedding stress building up every now and then. Its something you dont think/plan to get but just sometimes unavoidable cuz its just two such different sets of families coming together . I do thankgod for my parents cuz there definately isnt a cooler and more understanding set of individuals on this planet. I mean they are the whole package ya.... super uber talented , classy , social , organised , caring , loving and born leaders. I wish i can live up to being their shadow someday... sighhh... i miss u momdad <3 on that note i shall sign off... time for some seepyy... toodlessss.....

I FOUND THE ANIMATORRRRR!!!! yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!! *phew* so now that, ive gotten that excitement out of the way...so yes, the all india search for a earnest, talented and not-wanting-to-rip me-off-all-my-savings-animator finally ended with a call from my cuzn in hyd who told me about this grad student who she knows about. The best part bout this animator kid is that he seemed as kicked as i am about the project so i was like "yes! we found a hit".. so i have seen a bunch of his sample work which seems pretty good , so i think with a little more direction and guidance we, as a team shall be a.w.e.s.o.m.e =)

i am actually pretty tempted to post ydays sample pic rite now but will have to resist the excitement till we have the final prints ready...so exciting!!! yayyyyyyy!! this is definately going to be one of the most fun projects of my life and im super happy that my future hubby thought of it!!! (part of the reason why i lav him so much)...

wedding planning on the other hand is on full swing... amu is like the professional googler and the num of suit pics i hav in my inbox is insane!!! loll... got a good tailor closeby so hoping some of my suits turn out the way i want them to. gotto do the actual wedding shopping soonly too... as usual lots to do *bummer* oh btw ! amu cald to say that she n anjaan want to gift us our honeymoon =o =o i was like noooooooo wayyy!! i mean they are definately the worlds best sister n brother in law neone could ask for but this is too much to accept ya...so ya that plan is out....

though deciding between turkey and thailand........hmmmm... wondering which will be final

And the hunt for graphic designer/animator continues....sigh !! eventhough i know the term wedding causes *kachingg* to resonate through all our ears , its kinda tough when your the spender and not the reciever. been trying to fix on the card and no luck yet. spoke to a few reliable ppl but few minutes down the convo and they charge a bomb!! :/

meanwhile on the work front my aircrafts tire deflated yday while taxing out of the runway !!! so ya for those who dint know this yet , im a pilot by profession. Writing is more like a hobby and a mini passion. so anyway , since i fly my little jet around the country , helping my chairman to get around to his meetings, the plane's maintenance sucks!!! third time now and the right wheel has deflated. Im hoping as hell that this time they can sort the issue out and fix it once in for all. To make matters worse im in one of the most disorganised companies in the aviation sector!!! its is unbelievable how they function and how the famous "chalta hai" attitude comes into play every day of the year. SUPER unprofessional bunch of numbnuts !!!

now the time is coming close to when i break the big news to my office about how im going to need a month off for my wedding and then they shall ALL freakout...woohoo!! loll... neway lets see how that comes along. back to delhi tomorrow evening, soooo much pending wedding work to be done .......toodlesss

Excel-lent work

so i took a flight out to blore to spend time with my sis and bil cuz i was kinda homesick. their house is so pretty...my sis keeps its so well...well done amu!! (ok wipe the tears now) so newayyyy i got in at 7am so i could spend as much time as possible with them...

by afternoon we had guest list ready for the wedding and EXCEL sheets on events involved, venues, cuisines, decor , clothes , theme, lighting , flowers ...name it and we had it alllll covered!! lol.... its like we r event managers already...more like amu is the event manager..im just the picky choosy one. googling has turned into our favorite timepass and everyday brings in a brand new idea.

oh btw MERRY XMASSSS!!! mines been a sucky one cuz they made me fly out of blore so i could operate a hyd-del-hyd.... checked in by 2030 so had no time or energy to head out. figured skypin wit jzu would be the best option...afterall xmas is about the loved ones :) also got lovely forest essential giftcard from amuanjaan at midnite...they always so thoughtfull!!

Trying to work on the invites past month but havent recieved any good news from any graphic designers yet :( everyones either too busy or too expensive or jus dont feel like replying. our concept is a lill tricky so to get ppl to work on it is gonna be a task. im hoping by jan we get some good news........ dats all on d weddin front...toodlesss!!!

the talk ...... shock proof

so i always wondered when i would stop being the baraati and actually be hosting the baraat...and finally my time has come. I thought it would like a major plan and method to it all and to my utter surprise it was all so sudden and such a shocker.

here i was throwing subtle hints to my folks about weddings and how i should also be the next in line someday etc etc and one simple phone call from dad changed it all. it was almost like i blurted out "yes i have a guy in my life" and den hit panic button!! called up amu (my sis) and panicked some more...told her i dunno what to tel momdad, what to say , who , what ,why ...and overall hyperventilating . few phone calls here and there and in d next few hrs the convo went like dis

mom : yes we would like to meet his folks next week *me shocked*

me : but uve not met sagar

mom : u hav rite...and uve chosen him so its fine *me double shock*

shift to next week , the parents meet , get along like house on fire and the deal is done!!

1st july 2012 it is!!!! the wedding of rasika singh with sagar chablani !!! yaayyyyyyyyy !!!

so after a whole lot of shocks being passed back and forth , now the wedding preps have begun... though a question im being asked by almost everyone im inviting is "when did he propose" .... and that answer is still awaited.......

Havin a blast...NOT fun!!

No im not referring to your weekend at the club where tequila and 4 am breakfast are essential components of “we had such a blast”. I’m referring to the highly inhuman and deviously planned bomb blast’s which shook the capital on 13th sep 08. So many killed and jus so many more injured. Its sad but it’s the reality.

Friday evening I was out with my family to watch a musical which had a social cause attached to it, how prostitutes are good humans and even though they sell their body for a living, its something they do not out of choice but by the complete lack of it. So Just as we got comfortable in our seats there was a sudden increase in the murmuring and we could overhear “bomb blast in delhi” . Before we knew it all the nokia’s n iphones were ringing and the news spread like wild fire. Our clean green dilli had been brought to a shocking hault by a chain of bomb blast’s. Now this social cause was more important. We rushed home.

The roads went empty, shops shut, not a soul on the street. Delhi was watching tv and it wasn’t the cricket score this time, it was the score of all the dead and injured delhizens who had been brutally snatched away from their loved one’s because some Muslim terrorists couldn’t care less about losing a hundred thousand lives just to remind us all of their unwanted existence. City after city they kill and destroy lives, infrastructure, families…. Why dammit why????
India has its hands more than full rite now with the kosi floods, orrisa missionary killings, vadodra communal wars , chaotic singur , daily j&k shootings and just so much more unhappiness that the last thing we need is some new found lovers of jihad who want to prove to the world that they are unstoppable and relentless. It makes me shudder to think of what kind of fanaticism goes on in their devilish brains which drives them to such unimaginable levels of anger,contempt and hatred .

Ive always believed that there is a little lesson to be learnt by every incident that happens in our lives and this recent one just made me realise that even if your friend who did the crash course in palmistry told you "ur going to live a very long life"…. He sure as hell hasn’t heard of this new breed of jehadi’s for whom human lives are just such a blast!!!
